2016 Louisville Cardinals Tickets

Louisville Cardinals tickets got bashed early last season, then rebounded for a strong finish as the year rolled to a close. Part of that is scheduling and part is simply the development of a team under Bobby Petrino. With a crop of youngsters, Petrino was hard pressed to open things up. Heading into 2016 it looks like the Cardinals will be more settled, more experienced at key positions, and better prepared to take on teams such as Florida State and Clemson. How it all pans out for Cardinals tickets is yet to be seen but there’s little doubt Louisville will be better in the coming year.

To begin with, quarterback Lamar Jackson seems to have found a home and settled in, posing both a running threat and real promise in the passing game. When he was on the field, Jackson totaled 22 touchdowns, 11 on the ground, and provided uncertainty for opposing defenses. If Petrino needs a boost or wants to create confusion, Reggie Bonnafon is a quirky twist to throw into the offense. The Cardinals also have a capable running threat in Brandon Radcliff, and will benefit from having James Quick and Jamari Staples catching passes after earning their stripes the hard way in 2015. The theme continues to play out on the offensive line, where a group of youngsters is maturing into a cohesive unit around tackle Geron Christian.

Sheldon Rankins is gone from the Louisville defense so someone, or more than one, will have to pick up the slack. It will probably come from the linebackers, where Devonte Fields and Keith EKelsey are poised for big season and lots of responsibility. Petrino should be happy to have his entire secondary back in the fold after posting good numbers in 2015.

If everything goes according to plan, Louisville Cardinals tickets will be in the running for a shot another bowl game and even the ACC. Petrino has a tough squad, good enough to play well with teams like Clemson and Florida State. The challenge will be to convert playing well into playing well enough to win.

2016 Louisville Cardinals Schedule

The schedule is tough but doable for the Louisville Cardinals and tickets buyers should be happy for the lineup they’ll see in Cardinals Stadium in 2016. On the road, Louisville will meet up with Syracuse, Marshall, the Clemson Tigers, Virginia, Boston College, and Houston. It’s tough, but Cardinals tickets are ready to bring another season of improvement under Bobby petrino.
