2016 Georgia Bulldogs Football Tickets

The Georgia Bulldogs may have found their ticket to SEC prominence in 2016 as Kirby Smart takes over a program that has been good, but not great. Smart may be the man who can bring this Bulldog team to the top of the SEC in his first season. He did, after all, spend plenty of time next to Nick Saban. When he decided to leave he took over a solid program in Georgia, a team that has plenty of talent, and the first year head coach is doing everything right so far. The anticipation around Georgia Bulldogs tickets is high and rightfully so.

Georgia finished at 10-3 in 2015, their only losses coming to Alabama, Tennessee, and Florida. Not a bad season, more an indicator of just how tough it is to win in the SEC. Smart does have some challenges ahead though, such as figuring out his quarterback situation. Greyson Lambert may have the inside edge, but he’ll have to contend with the buzz around Jacob Eason, who many see as the star quarterback of Georgia’s future. In any case, Smart can always fall back on a deep and talented group of running backs. Nick Chubb will be working his way back from injury but when he’s healthy he’s as good as it gets. If it takes some time, Sony Michel is fully capable of carrying the load. The receivers may be a sore spot, as Terry Goodwin is the only returner with any significant experience.

Defensively, the Georgia Bulldogs should be led by a strong secondary full of experienced players. Smart will have to build a defensive line with the talent available. Thankfully that includes sophomore Trenton Thompson, a top ranked recruit who earned some playing time his freshman season and provides an anchor, and linebackers Lorenzo Carter and Tim Kimbrough. While there are some question marks here, indications from spring practices are that Smart will have a capable defense that looks to get more effective with time.

2016 Georgia Bulldogs Schedule

First, the big games, games that will mean the difference for Bulldogs tickets. The season opener with North Carolina is going to provide a yardstick for the early going. Ole Miss, expected to be a College Football Playoffs contender, is in Week 4 and it’s a game on the road Bulldogs fans would love to see go their way. Then, returning home to take on Tennessee, who some polls have in the Top 10, is going to be a big challenge. The Bulldogs also face a big test when Florida comes to town Oct. 29th. The rest of the schedule is filled out with Nichols State, Missouri, South Carolina, Vanderbilt, Kentucky, Auburn, La-Lafayette, and ends with Georgia Tech.
