Oregon and Wisconsin fill out the Rose Bowl in Pasadena on Jan 2 in Pasadena in a game that pits the PAC-12 Champion against the Big Ten Champion. Both these teams have been here before and both are stinging from their recent losses in this same Rose Bowl. Either Oregon or Wisconsin will erase that bad memory and having earned their Rose Bowl tickets the hard way, I expect this to be a hard fought game.
The Wisconsin Badgers come to the Rose Bowl by virtue of an 11-2 record and are returning to the Rose Bowl after having lost to TCU in the same stadium last season.
The Oregon Ducks were in that same position last season having dropped their last Rose Bowl appearance to Ohio State and earning their return ticket this season with an 11-2 record.
The 2012 Rose Bowl is a kind of rarity as the traditional Pac-12 vs Big Ten format has fallen by the wayside in light of the BCS influenced rankings.
